Bonnie's B-day party

We invaded Chili’s in Cedar City for a few hours on 12/30 for Bonnie's B-day party. All the regulars was there in the snowstorm to have dinner. It was all that us old people could put together...;)

Cindy made some yummy cup cakes for Bonnie, cherry chip with peppermint chunks in the icing! (Bonnie's favorite)

I wish that I had more photos but all that I had was my phone...

I was able to capture the big moment, when Bonnie opened her grand prize....a signed baseball from Derek Jeter #2 short stop for the Yankee's...I think that she liked it!

Happy B-day sweetie, I love you!

Getting the Vega on Pass Time

Shalon has some pretty crazy ideas. This time she tried to get Neil on the Speed channel game show Pass Time. Neil wasn't picked for a contest but they told us that we could come down and try to get our car on the show...As you can see from my face we got picked!

This is the beauty shots that they will use on the show.

The Vega was looking good...

My nerves was pretty high as Page took me out of the car to get interviewed.

The burn out was a little rough on my part, you would have thought that I hadn't ever made a pass before...But Bonnie looked good guiding me into the water box.

I was prepped for some tough questions from Brett the host

Doug and Jim went down the next day and got on the show. I had put the in car camera in the Vega but didn't turn it on (I know what a dork) but Jim got a great in car video...Going to have a lot of fun with this...

YOU CAN CHECK OUT THE AWESOME INTERVIEW ON www.speedsceneracing.com- JUST CLICK ON ARCHIVES - THEN ON PLAY VIDEO 11-03-2009 - WE ARE ABOUT 8 MINUTES FROM THE BEGINNING!!!!

What a sight! parked on top of Cedar Breaks looking back at Brian Head Peak...

the snow was thin but enough for a test on my new engine.

It may have been thin but the wind had blown up some pretty good drifts....Thats Justin and Cody both stuck (thats a tree in the middle)

I got to test out my helmet cam, I love it!

Resurrecting a 800 Polaris

With the snow flying early this year, I am glad that I started working on patching my sled back together...

I found a machine shop in Logan that hooked me up with some "re-built" parts..that's the PC term for used parts...

I got it all put together last night and the "used" parts looked great. If I can get her stuffed back in tomorrow night then Saturday I think that I will have to take it to Cedar Breaks and drive around in the parking lot! There is nothing like snowmobiling in October....

Deer Hunting

Early Saturday Morning on Cove Mountain…

After hunting for a few hours without much luck we headed over to see if the Frei’s camp was doing any better. To find Preston telling jokes at their camp...

We drove up the road a bit to look at an old camp site and spring, it was really a pretty spot.

I love the trees when they change in the fall.

I have to give it to Lainee for camping in a tent for 2 days in the middle of no where! Not as nice as the trailer was but she pulled it off pretty well (she will have to tell you her secret way to cook a steak with out a grill or pan)..Way to go Lainee...

This was my view for 2 days someones taillights and a whole lot of dust...We had it all but the deer!

Going back out Sunday and running into people that I haven't seen for years on a road that get 2 cars a month on it is just crazy! But fun...And boy dose the "BS" start to flow...

We stopped and look at some old mine shafts, pretty crazy that this hole in the mountain was probably dug by hand by someone a long time ago...People new how to work back then...

One last push Sunday toook us to the top of the Mountain above the Apex mine this is quite the view, we could see all the way to Apple Valley. We started at the bottom of an elevation of 4420 feet and at the top the GPS said 6700! I hope that this hill gets some snow this winter cuz I would love to climb that on a snowmobile!

Grampa teaching Landon and Preston how to roll rocks. (This is my favorite thing to do hunting) grampa had the winner rock for the day, I thought it was going to roll all the way to town!

Looking from the top of West Mountain down at Mesquite. Wow what a view!

Swiss Days

The Buick was looking great for the Swiss days parade

I think that the hats that mom found made us all look pretty good.

I could not believe how many people was watching the parade...

I was hoping for a trophy at the car show with the Buick. Doug and Jim took one home...Next year the 10 wheeler will be a big hit!
