Sled trouble

This is a photo of the jail out in Duck Creek meadow

all of that snow in just a few weeks and then the warm temperatures it has made the snow hard as if it was April

This was the only way to get around, lots of bent and broken trees.

The 800 waiting for a pick up....Notice the trees behind in the back ground

Clean up and cabin check

This is the road in front of the cabin

Back up to the cabin this weekend, we did some clean up of the trees in the drive way. I thought that cutting trees was tough when there standing, when they are covered in 3 feet of snow, the chain saw just does not want to work...I think that we will wait tell the snow melts.

Jon, and Lex came up and we went for a ride, not to far because all of the trails out of Duck Creek are blocked with trees that fell over in the storm...it will be summer tell it is all cleaned up...

This gives you a pretty good idea how deep the snow is. That's the bridge above Aspen mirror

Jon was checking out the tree damage

What a storm at Duck Creek

This is country land above the store, power lines still down...

This is how all of the trees looked, just stuck with feet of snow

The road is still only one lane wide and some of the trees and power lines are still down

The power truck was not is a good place...

The trees are everywhere, and big!

On New Years day Bonnie and I drove around Hwy 89 and unloaded at Strawberry Valley and snowmobiled in to the cabin to see how bad the damage was. It was not to bad, just a broken rail on the back deck.

As you can see there are lots of trees snapped off, we counted some where in the twenty's

This is Hwy 14, ya lots of snow

The ice cycles where incredible.
