Shop time

I never had a chance to add an explanation to these photos, (so her it is a few days later)

Sat was a very busy day at the shop, we pulled Doug’s BBC 427 motor and re-sealed the oil pan and rear-main seal, it has been leaking. I told Doug that he was just a whiner about a little oil leak, but after we got it tore down it was leaking pretty good, he was just cleaning it up faster than I could notice it. But any way all re-sealed and back in the car, same day, no-sweat!

The fun project was getting the cylinder head off of Grandpa Rebers 37 Buick. It is an 8 Cyl engine and that is one heavy Cyl head, as you can see we had to use the engine hoist to lift it off and into the truck…They used lots of iron back in those days! It is up at Snows machine shop getting some new valves put in it.

I need to get this running so Clare and Mern can take it to dinner over at the Gun Barrel ( they would look cool )

Bonnie was the best shop helper ever! All day, she keep us feed and made sure that we were working and not BS’ing all the time. :)

I love you Bonnie for hanging out with me for the day. That was the best!

Business Expo

Jackie and Jenny working the Infowest Expo booth.

This week was the Chamber Business Expo at the Dixie Center. I have been going to this business networking show for years and it was very different this year, with the economy being slow it was easy to see it with the turn out for business and for people to come to the show.
Infowest was looking good and let every one know that we are here to stay!

Good luck to everyone in this next year...

Great day at the Cabin 6/7/09

The snow is all gone, but the water is running....

I had to have a jacket on to dance with Bonnie, it was cold after the sun went down, burr...

Shalon and Bonnie going for a ride down to the Village

We didn't know that there was going to be a hula hoop contest but Bonnie was awesome and beat them all!

But Shalon was having the most fun, I wish that I could have got the hoki poki dance one video..:)

The real reason for Memorial Day

How do I express how lucky that I am to have my parents, and all of my grand parents still on this earth, I mean that is really amazing. This is something that I have taken for granted most of my life. I just a have not had to deal with the loss of a family member. So first off, I love you Mom and Dad!

I guess I am getting more sensitive to this as I am getting older, heck I don't know, it's just something that I think about more often, especially after going to visit Boyd on Christmas day ( then calling the Reber house and getting everyone all emotional after words) :)

This year I was able to take some time with Bonnie and her family cleaning up a few things at the cemetery where her dad is buried. Taking a few hours to just brighten up the head stone and replace the flowers just really makes me understand how lucky that I am .

I have learned over the years that this is a very special place for the whole family but Bonnie, Sherry and Shalon, I would say that it is something way more. It is not just a special place, it is a safe place to go and just listen to your hart, it is a calm place to go and put things into prospective, and it is a great place to go get some good advice from Boyd. I never got a chance to meet Boyd but I have a good idea who what kind of person he was by the unbelievable family that he raised.

I just want to say thanks to the Boyd Adams family for letting me be a part of something special.

I hope that I will always remember to cherish those people that are here today because we just don't know what tomorrow will bring.

The Cabin Natzi

It was the first weekend that we have had a minute to get up to Cedar Mt this spring and there was lots of chores to do.

Bonnie is known for being the cabin clean-up Natzi, (but it makes the rest of the year nice to have it all done)

Mark, Jon and me trying to move the trailer to load more pine needles!

WOW, a few hours of hard wok sure makes the place look nice. I think that Boyd would be proud of us.

A little rest for the worker bees.

Apples to Apples is one of the cabin favorte games to play...

We was able to sneak in a short wheeler ride before we came home, Mark (AKA the Germans, bike was dang funny to watch him ride!
